Birds are flocking now
feeding, flying round and
round
Instinct tells them winter's coming
they can't hang
around
Compelled to fly to warmer climes
and, thus, escape the
cold
Before'they stay too long
and suffer grievous fates
untold
Winter's cold and harsh
and summer birds cannot
withstand
the chilling winds, the bitter storms,
the angry winter
land.
So, they seek the shelter
of a warmer place to stay
'til
the winter winds have had their time
and gone away
And when the angry
time has passed
and warm sun starts to burn
the summer birds will
mount their wings
and to this land
return
